The Hardknott Café has seen a huge transformation in the last year and is proving a pleasant surprise for our customers. The place to dine in Eskdale and while still very much based around a traditional inn, the Hardknott Café has a more contemporary, funky feel.
It is warm and inviting, thanks to its wooden floors, slate bar and wood burning stove – the perfect place to relax, regardless of what activity you have been up to.
The Hardknott Bar Menu is available from 12pm – 10pm our Cafe Menu is available from 8am until 5pm – You can even collect a pizza to take away with you.

But remember, the Woolpack ethos is to encourage you to eat where you like and when you like and we don’t restrict you to specific foods in certain areas of the inn.
With a selection of seating and dining areas from the relaxed peace of the Farmhouse Dining Room through the comfy and informal Woolpack bar into the eclectic Hardknott Café, there’s plenty of choice whether you’re with friends and family, just a two or here solo.
The Hardknott Café also has a 100 inch HDTV screen so there’s no need to miss all the major sporting events. But don’t worry if sport’s not your thing, there are plenty of places to avoid it at the Woolpack.
