We want to reassure you that we are putting all possible measures in place to keep you and our team safe so that you can confidently enjoy a stay with us.

You are in safe hands, and our aim is to provide:

  • A trained and aware team
  • Increased cleaning procedures
  • Alcohol hand gel available at all touch points
  • Safe distancing markings on the floor
  • Reduce tables and provide more space to promote safe distancing
  • One-way systems in effect to reduce congestion
  • Non-contact service is possible

We’re following all government guidelines and working on best practice measures within the Inn. We have completed all necessary risk assessments and all procedures and assessments will be constantly reviewed and updated where necessary in line with government guidelines.

We ask you to please use common sense to play your part in keeping everyone safe. In return we will be doing the same for you. Importantly, we will not be allowing any of our team members displaying symptoms inside our Inn and we would ask you to exercise the same cautionary approach.

We’ll adhere to Government guidelines and restrictions relating to capacity, and while safe distancing is required in our bar, dining room and outside areas we will be operating with a reduced number of tables, so availability will be limited. Due to the constantly changing nature of this guidance, we will be continuously reviewing our procedures related to capacity.

Our menus have been reduced and our serving times have slightly changed.

We ask that customers order from our app, contact details will be required to complete an online order.

If you are unable to complete and order via the app you can order from our dedicated order point and pay for your food/drinks, you will be asked to provide your name and contact details.

We are not providing a table service to start with, customers will be asked to go to a collection point to collect their food/drinks, any cutlery & condiments required will also be provided there.

All meals will be served in bio-degradable takeaway containers, we ask that customers dispose of everything in the bins provided when they have finished.

All contact details will be kept for 21 days in line with the government track and trace system.

Please use the hand sanitiser station provided at the entrance, this is mandatory when entering the property for your and our safety.

Tables will be positioned at the required distance apart in all our areas, in line with the latest government guidelines. Please do not move any furniture, they are set for your and our safety.

Standing at the bar and counter is no longer permitted.

We are limited by Government guidelines to the number of people who are allowed to socialise together. We ask that you make a reservation for no more than six people (including children) within your group.  This will increase as government guidance allows.

Please ensure children are supervised at all times.

To enter the Inn we ask that you use the Bottom Bar Door and to exit the Inn through the Top Bar Door, there will be clear signage to help you do this.

Check in time is now slightly later at 4pm, this is to give us more time to clean and sanitise guest bedrooms.

Hand Sanitiser for guests and staff will be available at all access points and we have increased the cleaning of all public areas.

Bedrooms will no longer be serviced during your stay, if any extras are required they can be supplied on request.

Breakfast must be ordered the night before and a time requested, it will be served on a tray to your room.  Please leave the tray outside the room when you have finished.  If you prefer, we will allocate you a table in the Herdwick Room for you to take your breakfast there to enjoy.

If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to give us a call.
